The question is flawed. It should be “Has science hindered or aided Christianity ?” Yes, science(as well as logic) hindered Christianity as it proved claims made by the religion are false.

You compare Judaism and Hinduism, Christianity and Buddhism and you will understand how they are created and what they copied.

Buddhism and Christianity would be similar insofar as being both less ethnic and more universalist than the other comparison.

However, Christianity pretends to be a completion, not a mere universalists transcension, of an Old Testament which still remains true.

Buddhism doesn’t pretend the Vedas are entirely true, so it is more instructive to compare Buddhism to Islam in that respect. It is a simplification.

If we compare Judaism and Hinduism, they are alike in pretending to a continuity which is no longer there. Hinduism is not sacrificing horses after Ashoka. Judaism has no Temple since Titus. Difference? Ashoka was precisely a Buddhist, but Titus was precisely not a Christian.

Let's be more specific.

The big flood, Noah and 3 sons are both in Hinduism and Abraham and wife Sarah must have been copied from Brahma and wife Saraswathi.

Buddha and Jesus: Maya to Mary, miracle pregnancy to virgin birth, birth during a journey home to journey from home, prophesied soon after birth, had a disciple who betrayed them.

They can't be all “coincidental”.

"The big flood, Noah and 3 sons are both in Hinduism and Abraham and wife Sarah must have been copied from Brahma and wife Saraswathi."

Or reverse.

"Buddha and Jesus: Maya to Mary,"

What texts pretend Siddharta's mother was called Maya?

"miracle pregnancy to virgin birth,"

If Buddha in 500 BC is ascribed a miracle pregnancy, it can have been copied from older actual miracle pregnancies, Abraham and Sarah begetting Isaac and the miracle pregnancies for Samson and Samuel, like to those around the virgin birth, namely of Joachim and Anne for Mary and of Zacharias and Elisabeth for John the Baptist.

"birth during a journey home to journey from home,"

Both are common occurrences, not everyday, but a minority rather than miraculous or outstanding.

"prophesied soon after birth,"

Where do you have that about Christ? Or, for that matter, about Siddharta Gautama called Buddha?

"had a disciple who betrayed them."

Were do you have that about Buddha?

"They can't be all “coincidental”."

No, your list is not all coincidental, but deliberate. A deliberate lie, though hopefully not your own.

Lol. You think Christianity creators will be that stupid to use the same name Maya and don't modify it ?

The Buddha told his followers not to worship or remember him but his teachings.

I know Christianity followers are always discouraged from learning more about Hinduism and Buddhism. Now we know why.

"You think Christianity creators will be that stupid to use the same name Maya and don't modify it ?"

While I do not share your absurd conspiracy theory of how Christianity was "created", I was not asking whether Maya and Mary are the same, I was asking whether you can show Buddha's mother was called Maya in any Buddhist texts?

"The Buddha told his followers not to worship or remember him but his teachings."

So?

"I know Christianity followers are always discouraged from learning more about Hinduism and Buddhism."

I am a Christian and nobody told me that.

"Now we know why."

How about you explain why I was not told that?

Lol. You think I should know or care if your words are true or not ? My knowledge are not meant to be personal, it's for everyone.

“You think I should know or care if your words are true or not”

One should always care about truth.

“My knowledge are not meant to be personal, it's for everyone.”

Wonderful, you can’t mind my spreading this, then:

Are you pretending to play dumb not to know that it's my kind way of telling you I don't trust you ? If I don't care for the truth of religions, I will not have cared to research them and will not know that Christianity is a scam.

“Are you pretending to play dumb not to know that it's my kind way of telling you I don't trust you ?”

You are at least honest about not trusting me, but in fact, I did not know that Indian expression which was an euphemism for not trusting me, I took it literally.

Now, why do you think Christianity is a scam?

Stanley Tai

I already wrote earlier some evidence that proved the scam, please refer back.

I already answered all points, which do you think I haven’t answered?

And why?

Science debunked Adam and Eve mythology with evolution. Logic debunked Christianity since Christianity claimed their god is the only true god and it is all mighty and the creator. In that case, Christianity should be the oldest religion and there should not be other religions sharing same mythologies with The Bible.

"Science debunked Adam and Eve mythology with evolution."

False. Evolution is not science.

"Logic debunked Christianity"

False, but let's see ...

"since Christianity claimed their god is the only true god and it is all mighty and the creator."

True.

"In that case, Christianity should be the oldest religion"

True and it is.

"and there should not be other religions sharing same mythologies with The Bible."

That is a non sequitur.

Stanley Tai

Non sequitur ? You must be unaware of the big flood, survivor Manu and 3 sons, Brahma and wife Saraswsthi, just to name a few that Judaism copied.

Christianity copied miracle pregnancy, born during a journey home, prophesied after birth, “son of god" etc.

Muhammad must have found out and so he started his own with “messenger of god".

You are probably unaware that some Hindus claimed Buddha was a son of god sent to earth as a messenger to teach the people.

"Non sequitur ? You must be unaware of the big flood, survivor Manu and 3 sons, Brahma and wife Saraswsthi, just to name a few that Judaism copied."

It is a non sequitur, since Hindoos would also descend from Noah and his three sons and since some early pre- or proto-Hindoos can have heard sth about Abraham and Sarah.

"Christianity copied miracle pregnancy, born during a journey home, prophesied after birth, “son of god" etc."

The rest answered under the other thread.

Where do you find "son of God" in either Hinduism or Buddhism?

"Muhammad must have found out and so he started his own with “messenger of god"."

Or the devil sent him a demon in the disguise of "Jibreel".

"You are probably unaware that some Hindus claimed Buddha was a son of god sent to earth as a messenger to teach the people."

I was definitely unaware that "Son of God" (as opposed to for instance Avatar) was even a Hindoo concept. If it is now, can you prove it is older than Christianity?

Stanley Tai
Just now
For the years, their origin and who is older, I am sure you can easily find them on your own.

Actually who is older doesn't change the fact that the Christianity god must be fake for claiming to be all mighty, the creator and also true god. Why should it allowed or created other religions ?

The plot holes are just too big and many.

Hans-Georg Lundahl
Just now
"For the years, their origin and who is older, I am sure you can easily find them on your own."

If you are referring to Hindoo chronology ... for one, it is partly inflated, for another, death of Krishna could be a correct date, if Krishna was a pre-Flood man (placing Flood before Krishna was a deliberate fraud to remove the Flood from ezarly Hinduism when Krishna ceased to be recalled as a saint which he may have been (if he did not speak the Gita as recorded by you) and began to see him as an avatar and as a god.

"Actually who is older doesn't change the fact that the Christianity god must be fake for claiming to be all mighty, the creator and also true god."

Absolutely not true.

"Why should it allowed or created other religions ?"

God allowed Satan to rebell, God allowed Adam and Eve to sin, God allowed Nimrodians - and if my guess about Hinduism's origin's is correct even some inadequate anti-Nimrodians - to invent idolatries.

Why? Because God created persons really other than He, really other persons than He, really endowed with free will with some mysterious but still real independence of His.

"The plot holes are just too big and many."

Says one who has no idea about the plot in the first place ... can I guess Hindoos are discouraged from learning about Christianity?

You are wrong again. I have been encouraged to study all religions, that's how I gained all my knowledge.

Hans-Georg Lundahl
Just now
Well, if so, you were lazy studying Christianity.

Stanley Tai
1h ago
Certainly not more lazy than most Christians who never know Jesus was partly copied from Buddha and Judaism from Hinduism.

Hans-Georg Lundahl
Just now
It is not laziness not to share your conclusion.

If engaging in debate with you it would be lazy to not listen to your arguments.

But listening is one thing, trusting your personal honesty is one thing, but trusting your sources is another thing.

Where in Buddhist teachings do you find one disciple betrayed Siddharta Gautama? The Benares sermon doesn’t indicate he died on a Cross by betrayal of anyone.

Where in the Buddhist teachings do you find his mother named Maya?

Stanley Tai

You certainly know how to spin well but I don't fall for it.

Hans-Georg Lundahl

I asked a direct question : what is your source for your allegation on Buddhism.
